<resTitle>Public Safety Answering Point Boundaries</resTitle>
</idCitation>
<idAbs>This polygon dataset was originally developed in 2012 as part of the ENHANCE 911 grant project to develop a statewide GIS data layer for public safety answering points (PSAP) for Next Generation 911 and other 911 systems. A PSAP is a physical or virtual entity where 9-1-1 calls are delivered by the 9-1-1 Service Provider (source National Emergency Number Association - www.nena.org). This data outlines the PSAP service boundaries for the primary PSAPs across Michigan. These boundaries extend out to the nautical state boundaries for Michigan. </idAbs>
