This data set was created to populate a mapping system maintained by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB). The map displays for public consumption where state re-monumentations are located and provides detailed information as recorded on the official surveyor certificate. This data set includes state public land survey corners and re-monumentation information maintained by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs' (LARA) Office of Land Survey and Remonumentation (OLSR). This data set is for public land survey (PLS) section corners and re-monumented locations. Locations with coordinates outside the state's geographical boundary (34) are retained. Corner types include meander, PLS corner, private claim, protracted, reservation, TTAT, reference, and property control. Data set includes the following attributes: corner review status, corner type, land corner recordation certificate file name, PLSS town, range and grid coordinate, date publicly recorded, reviewer memo, recording county name and reference document number, first page number of certificate, liber number of certificate, grant year, deviation east, date last visited, deviation north, private claim/reserve number, grid factor, peer approved date, surveyor license number, latitude n, longitude w, surveyor’s date of corner research, surveyor’s observation date, SPC NAD 83 East, North and SPC Zone.
